The Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) has made bus ticket bookings available via the instant messaging app WhatsApp across its network in the national capital. This means that Delhiites who are tech-aware will no longer have to wait to get a ticket from the conductor after boarding the bus. People can easily book tickets using the WhatsApp ticket booking feature from a variety of locations, including malls, offices, and homes.
Presently, commuters using DTC and DIMTS routes can purchase single-journey QR tickets through the chatbot. The chatbot will provide a quick purchase feature for riders who commute frequently on the same route, which will cut down on the time it takes to choose the starting point and destination.
To use the service, commuters must send 'Hi' to +918744073223. For commuters' convenience, single journey QR tickets can be booked in both English and Hindi.
