Ravan dahan in Delhi-NCR: Delhi NCR is preparing for Dussehra celebrations with vibrant Ramlila performances and festive gatherings across the capital. From September 22 to October 3, major venues will host spectacular shows retelling the Ramayana with a mix of traditional theatre and modern stagecraft.
Dussehra, celebrated on the tenth day of Navratri, symbolises the triumph of good over evil. Across Delhi NCR, this victory is celebrated through grand enactments of the Ramayana. These Ramlilas recreate the life of Lord Ram, from his birth and exile to the famous battle against Ravana.
Most Ramlilas begin in the evenings, usually between 6:30 PM and 7:30 PM, making them popular for family outings. Visitors can expect not only performances but also festive fairs, food stalls and entertainment options at several venues.
