JE News Desk: Earthquake tremors were felt in Assam's Guwahati and other parts of the North Eastern region on Friday. No damage has been reported so far.
According to National Center for Seismology (NCS), an earthquake of magnitude 4.8 on the Richter scale occurred at 10:16 am today in Bangladesh.

On June 13, earthquake tremors were felt in the Delhi-NCR region and parts of north India. As per the NCS, an earthquake of magnitude 5.4 on the Richter scale originated in the Doda district in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Dr OP Mishra, Director of the NCS, the tremors were also felt in Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Punjab and all adjoining areas.
Last month in May, a 4.4 magnitude earthquake hit Assam's Sonitpur. The Earthquake had originated at a depth of 15 KM in the Sonitpur region, the NCS informed. The termors were felt in Guwahati and other nearby regions as well.
