ECI Net App: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has launched ECI Net, a new unified digital platform that will combine over 40 existing election-related apps into a single interface. Dubbed the “Mother of all apps,” this initiative marks a significant step towards creating a transparent, accessible and tech-driven electoral process.

ECI Net App To Debut During Bihar Assembly Elections

The new digital system will be rolled out for the first time during the Bihar Assembly Elections, which will take place in two phases, on November 6 and 11, with results scheduled for November 14. The announcement was made by Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar during the declaration of election dates. Bihar will serve as a pilot state and the platform will later be expanded across India after its successful trial run.

What Is ECI Net?

ECI Net is designed as a single-window digital ecosystem for all stakeholders, from Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to Chief Electoral Officers (CEOs). The system aims to merge and reorganise multiple tools currently used for voter registration, monitoring, communication and reporting into one streamlined application.

According to the ECI, the initiative will remove the need for officials and voters to download multiple apps for different election-related tasks. Data will be entered only by authorised EC officials, ensuring accuracy and preventing errors.

ECI Net Key Features

The upcoming platform will bring several digital services under one roof:

Unified Access: Combines 40 different apps into one integrated system.

Real-Time Tracking: Allows monitoring of polling stations, voter registration, and counting progress.

Citizen Connectivity: Integrates the 1950 Voter Helpline, helping users contact their local BLOs directly.

Enhanced Security: Features advanced encryption and controlled access for data protection.

Improved Transparency: Reduces manual intervention and delays, boosting public confidence.
