India has debunked the claims from certain social media handles suggesting that the US fighter jets used Indian airspace to target three nuclear sites in Iran. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), PIB Fact Check clarified that the US carried out the attack without entering into the Indian airspace. It further stated that Joint Chiefs of Staff Chair Gen. Dan Caine had already explained the route through which Operation Midnight Hammer was conducted. While explaining the route, Gen Caine had emphasised that the aircrafts was launched from the US and it did not enter into Indian airspace at anytime.
"Several social media accounts have claimed that Indian Airspace was used by the United States to launch aircrafts against Iran during Operation #MidnightHammer. This claim is FAKE," PIB stated in its post on Sunday. "Indian Airspace was NOT used by the United States during Operation #MidnightHammer," it further added.

Earlier on Saturday, the United States carried out strikes at three nuclear sites in Iran. While providing details, the US President Donald Trump stated that the attacks were carried out in Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. He further warned Iran of additional strikes if Tehran retaliates.
"We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE! Thank you for your attention to this matter," Trump posted on Truth Social.
