Faridabad: The work has begun at Mohna road for the construction of an elevated bridge to connect the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway directly to the highway. Connecting the elevated bridge will facilitate the movement of lakhs of vehicles coming and going from here. Industry will get a boost in IMT, while the youth will also get employment apart from better connectivity for people.

The Public Works Department is building an elevated bridge from Sector-64 to Dussehra Ground on Mohna Road at a cost of Rs 255 crore, jagran.com reported. Now the work of digging Mohna Road has started to connect this bridge to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. People are now hopeful that soon this route will become a four-lane road.

By making Mohna Road four lanes and constructing an elevated bridge, commuters from Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, Greenfield Expressway, Kundli-Ghaziabad-Palwal (KGP) Expressway will be able to directly go to the highway and people coming from the highway will be able to directly go to these expressways. This elevated bridge will directly connect the three expressways. New industries will be set up in IMT.

“Excavation work has now started to connect the elevated bridge being built on Mohna Marg to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. This is also included in the plan of the elevated bridge. With the construction of four lanes on the road, vehicles will be able to reach Dussehra ground by climbing directly on the bridge,” said Prakash Lal, Executive Engineer, Public Works Department, as per jagran.com.
