Faridabad Traffic Advisory: Due to the Common Eligibility Test (CET), the entry of heavy vehicles in the city has been banned from 7 am to 6 pm on Sunday. The traffic police have issued an advisory in this regard, urging people to adhere to the order.

Thousands of candidates will be reaching examination centres set up in various schools and colleges across Faridabad, leading to increased vehicular pressure on main roads due to personal vehicles and public transport.

DCP Traffic Jaiveer Rathi informed that traffic policemen have been deployed at all traffic lights, squares, and cuts to ensure smooth traffic flow. The administration has appealed to the public to avoid unnecessary travel during peak hours to facilitate candidates' timely arrival at examination centres.

Heavy Traffic Expected During The Following Hours

For the first shift, increased traffic movement is expected from 7 am to 10 am. For the second shift, vehicular traffic will peak from 12 noon to 3 pm. After the exam, from 5 pm to 6:30 pm, a high number of public transport and personal vehicles are anticipated on the roads. Citizens are advised to plan their travel accordingly.

Security Arrangements

Strict security arrangements have been made across the state for the CET examination, which started on Saturday. About 13.48 lakh candidates are eligible to appear for the exam, and 834 examination centres have been set up across the state. The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) is conducting the CET for the recruitment of 'Group-C' posts.
