A tragic incident occurred in Delhi’s Narela Industrial Area on Tuesday, where a five-year-old boy was abducted and brutally murdered. The accused, Nitu, who worked as a driver in the child’s father’s transport business, allegedly killed the boy using bricks and a knife. The child’s body was later found in Nitu’s rented accommodation, according to police reports.

Authorities stated that Nitu is currently evading arrest, and several police teams have been deployed to track him down. It was reported that the accused had been scolded by the boy’s father a day prior to the incident.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer North), Hareshwar Swami, confirmed that a kidnapping report was filed at 3:30 pm at the Narela Industrial Area police station. Investigations revealed that the boy had been playing outside his home when he disappeared. Following a search by family members and neighbors, the child’s body was recovered from the suspect’s nearby rented room.

"Preliminary investigation revealed that the boy's father, the complainant, owned seven to eight transport vehicles and had employed two drivers, Nitu and Wasim. On Monday evening, both drivers had an argument under the influence of alcohol, during which Nitu allegedly beat Wasim," said the DCP.

According to police, after the transporter learned of Nitu’s misbehavior, he confronted and slapped him multiple times. Feeling humiliated, Nitu allegedly kidnapped the five-year-old boy while he was playing outside his home on Tuesday, took him to his rented accommodation, and killed him with bricks and a knife, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer North) Hareshwar Swami said.

Once the incident was reported, police arrived at the scene and took the child to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. A First Information Report (FIR) has been filed, and investigations are ongoing.
