Flood Situation Near Yamuna River: Yamuna River continues to flow well above the danger level mark of 205 metres on Saturday, causing a flood-like situation in many parts of Delhi-NCR. However, the Yamuna water level today receded to 206 metres at the Old Railway Bridge after flowing above the critical mark of 207 metres for several days. Drone visuals captured by ANI on the morning of September 6 show flooding in the areas located in the vicinity of the Yamuna.
Hundreds have been evacuated to safety locations, and relief camps have been set up in several areas, including Delhi-Meerut Expressway, Mayur Vihar, and Kashmere Gate to temporarily accommodate people living in low-lying areas near the river.
