Former CM OM Prakash Medanta Hospital: Omprakash Chautala, the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) supremo and former Chief Minister of Haryana, has been admitted to Medanta Hospital due to illness. It is said that he was having difficulty breathing. He was brought to Medanta on Wednesday. Chautala was kept in the intensive care unit (ICU) for one day. He has been moved to a normal room after his condition improved. He is currently receiving treatment from Dr Randeep Guleria. 

OP Chautala had a long medical history.  In the year 2022 also Chautala was admitted to the Medanta Hospital after complaining of fever and stomach infection.

In the same year, OP Chautala was sentenced to four years of imprisonment in connection with the disproportionate assets case. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 50 lakh on him and also ordered the CBI to confiscate his four properties. Chautala is accused of acquiring disproportionate assets from 1993 to 2006.

Appearing for Chautala, Advocate Harsh Sharma cited medical grounds for less punishment and submitted that Chautala has been infected with polio since birth and is partially disabled. CBI's Special Public Prosecutor Ajay Gupta opposed the submissions of Chautala's lawyer for a grant of concession on the ground of ill health and age. CBI urged the court for maximum punishment shall be given as it would send a message to the society.

In the year 2020, he was admitted to the Gurugram Hospital due to cough, after which he underwent a COVID-19 test.
