Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said that highlighted India's growth trajectory under his tenure, saying that India will neither stop nor pause.
While speaking at the NDTV World Summit, PM Modi said, "Bharat aajrukneke mood meinbhinahihai" (India is in no mood to stop)
He added, "Over the past 11 years, India has overcome crises, moving from the ‘Fragile Five’ to a top-five economy, with inflation under 2 per cent and growth over 7 per cent. From small businesses to large industries, India is self-reliant and confident"
Emphasising India's robust economic growth during the times of wars, the PM said, "When wars became headlines globally, India proved naysayers wrong by continuing to march ahead as the fastest growing economy; India clocked an average 7.8 per cent growth over the last three years".
"Earlier, the world thought that India, entangled in so many problems, would never be able to emerge from them. But in the past 11 years, India has dispelled every fear and overcome every challenge. Today, India has emerged from the Fragile Five and become one of the top economies...", he added.
PM on Operation Sindoor
PM Modi also reiterated his government's stand on terrorism from across the border. "After terrorist attacks, India responds decisively with surgical strikes, air strikes, and operations like Operation Sindoor," PM Modi said.
PM lashes Congress
PM Modi also alleged control over policy processes by the Congress governments. The PM said, "The Congress, which ruled the country for 60 years, always emphasised government control over policy processes. In the past 11 years, we have worked to democratise policies and processes, which is also a major reason behind ‘Unstoppable India’."
"Earlier governments carried out reforms as compulsion, we now do it with conviction," the PM further added.
