Bengaluru News: Amid an ongoing discussion on the infrastructure, Bengaluru residents have expressed their frustration over the deteriorated roads of the city. In a post on X, Bengaluru residents urged the authorities to repair the roads via a video in which the residents can be seen holding placards. They stated that the capital city of Karnataka is an IT hub, and poor infrastructure and traffic congestion are not fair to the residents.
While sharing a video on X (formerly Twitter), Citizen Movements East Bengaluru pointed out that the residents are bound to protest even for basic needs. The post emphasised that a global tech hub should not function like this.

“Bengaluru isn’t just the ‘Silicon Valley of India’—it’s the ‘Silicon Valley of the world.’ This isn’t how a global tech hub should function. Techies shouldn’t have to protest for better roads," the post read. Residents from various age groups can be seen holding placards and generating awareness among other people by talking to them.

The video immediately caught the attention of the netizens as it got more than 700 likes and 250 shares within the first 24 hours. While several social media users appreciated the efforts of these people by stating that the common people have to raise their voices to bring change. However, others pointed out that there was no point in protesting as the authorities have also given up.
"Seriously it's time to do sit in dharna and road block all across Whitefield and outer ring rd. So much taxes in form of stamp duty, corporation tax, gst, road tax is being collected , where is it being spent. Govt has to be accountable for the spending," one of the users pointed out. "DKS has already said that even god can't save Bengaluru, but appreciate your efforts and hope," another user reminded.
While Bengaluru is known as the Silicon City of India, the poor roads and traffic congestion have been a major issue for the techies in the city.
