The Greater Noida Authority Board has approved the proposal to develop the Shahberi Road connecting Ghaziabad and Greater Noida West as a double-decker road, a major infrastructure project aimed at reducing traffic congestion in the rapidly growing township.

The approximately 4.5-km-long corridor is one of the most important links between Ghaziabad and Greater Noida West. With the Board's approval, the project will move forward for further development and is expected to improve traffic management while easing chronic traffic jams on the busy route.

Apart from the road project, the Authority Board also approved the construction of two hostels for workers to strengthen accommodation facilities for the labour force. 

It also gave the green signal for the construction of Economically Weaker Section (EWS) flats in Patwari and Biraudi. During the meeting, the Board additionally approved the Authority's compensation rates.
