Gujarat: An 80-year-old residential building collapsed in Gujarat’s Somnath district on Monday morning.
At least three people were killed in the collapse that occurred in the Veraval city, as per a Hindustan Times report, quoting local reports. Two people were rescued alive.

The incident occurred at around 1:30 am, as per the report. Municipal Staff, fire fighters and officials rushed to the site to pull out those trapped under the rubble.
More details are awaited in the matter.
In another unrelated update, two migrant workers from Jharkhand were killed and one injured after a mound of mud collapsed on them in Bengaluru on September 30. Police said that the incident occurred when the labourers were working on the foundation for a pillar in Siddharth Colony, Madiwala. During the construction, a mudslide fell on three of workers, trapping them under the debris, they added.
The victims were identified as Raza Uddin Ansari (33) and Lal Madan (32). Saifullah (28) sustained injuries and has been undergoing treatment, they added.
