Gujarat: A family of five was found dead in a rented house in Bavla, having allegedly consumed a poisonous liquid in an apparent suicide. The motive behind the act remains unclear. All the deceased were originally from Dholka, officials said.
SP Ahmedabad Rural said, "Five members of a family died by suicide at the rented house in Bavla by consuming a poisonous liquid. The reason behind their suicide is unknown. All of them are originally from Dholka."

The deceased have been identified as Vipul Kanji Waghela (34), his wife Sonal (26), their two daughters aged 11 and 5, and their 8-year-old son.
In a separate incident, a 25-year-old Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI), Aruna Natu Jadav, was allegedly strangled to death by her live-in partner, CRPF jawan Dileep Dangachiya, following a heated argument late Friday night at their shared residence in Anjar, Kutch.
The incident came to light on Saturday morning when Dangachiya walked into the Anjar Police Station, where Aruna was posted, and surrendered. According to police, he attempted suicide after the murder but survived.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Mukesh Chaudhary stated that Aruna and Dileep had been in a live-in relationship since meeting on Instagram in 2021. “They had a fight around 10 pm on Friday. In the heat of the moment, he strangled her to death,” Chaudhary said.

Police have recovered Aruna’s body and taken the accused into custody. An investigation is underway to determine the full sequence of events.
