Gujarat Weather News: Rain spells have turned into light to moderate in the majority of the districts in Gujarat, as intensity has decreased today following a peak monsoon activity for the last few days. The India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for the state for heavy to very heavy rainfall in some districts and thunderstorms and lightning in the rest districts.
Gujarat Weather Today: Alert For Heavy Rain In Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Others
The IMD, in its latest weather forecast bulletin issued on September 1 at 1 pm, has issued a yellow alert in all the districts of Gujarat, anticipating heavy to very heavy rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning in Sabarkantha, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Aravalli, Chhoto Udepur, Navsari, Valsad, Dadar Nagar Haveli, and Daman. The rest of the districts in the state have been placed under yellow alert for the strong possibility of thunderstorms, lightning, with light to moderate rain at isolated places.
Gujarat Weather Forecast: Varied Weather Amid Alert For Heavy Rain, Thunderstorm
The weather department had placed a yellow alert in Navsari, Valsad, Dadar Nagar Haveli, and Daman on September 2 for the high possibility of heavy rain with thunderstorms and lightning. Rest, all the districts have been placed on yellow alert for thunderstorms, lightning, with light to moderate rain at isolated places.
Gujarat Weather Update: Orange Alert From September 3
According to the IMD forecast, there will be an orange alert in Narmada for very heavy rain with thunderstorms and lightning at isolated places. All other districts have been put on yellow alert for heavy rain and light to moderate rain.
Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Dangs, and Tapi will remain under an orange alert for heavy rain on September 4. While Several districts, such as Narmada, Dangs, Tapi, Valsad, Bharuch, Navsari, Dadar Nagar Haveli, Daman, and Surat, have been placed under an orange alert for a higher possibility of heavy rain with thunderstorms and lightning at isolated locations on September 5, as rain is likely to intensify from Friday.
