Gurugram News: A 21-year-old medical assistant lost her life after reportedly jumping from the seventh floor of a residential building in Gurugram, according to local police. The young woman, originally from Bihar, was employed to assist an elderly couple while their son resides abroad.
The incident occurred on December 1 (Sunday) at approximately 8:30 PM. Despite the tragic circumstances, police noted that the deceased's family has not lodged any formal complaint regarding the incident.
Officials confirmed that her body has been returned to her family and an investigation is currently ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding her death.
In a separate news, a BluSmart cab driver, Sonu Singh, was arrested in Gurugram for allegedly robbing a woman passenger at gunpoint on November 29. The victim had booked a ride from Airia Mall to Microtek Greenburg and during the journey, Singh pointed a gun at her in Sector 83, forcing her to transfer Rs 55,000 via her mobile phone and fleeing with her bag. The incident was reported to the Kherki Daula police and an FIR was registered. The police have begun investigating to recover the stolen money.

BluSmart responded to the incident by expressing regret and highlighting its existing safety measures, including background checks, face-to-face interviews, driving tests and facial recognition technology. The company facilitated the arrest within 24 hours and assured it would strengthen safety protocols, including additional training for drivers and enhanced technology. The incident has raised concerns about the safety of app-based cab services, prompting BluSmart to take immediate action.
