Gurugram Chintels Paradiso: Residents of Towers A, B and C at Chintels Paradiso in Sector 109, Gurugram, have been asked to vacate their flats with immediate effect, according to an order issued by the Deputy Commissioner. The decision was taken after receiving safety assessment reports from IIT-Delhi and Central Building Research Institute (CBRI), which confirmed these structures are not safe to live in.

Though residents were asked to vacate their flats in these towers earlier, very few of them had complied with the deputy commissioner's order. While 56 residents are still living in tower A, 54 are in tower B and over 30 in tower C. Towers D, E, F, G, H, and J have been completely evacuated, a Times of India report stated.

Six floors of Tower D of Chintels Paradiso Society collapsed partially on February 10, 2022, leading to the death of two female residents. Since then, the building site has been a matter of dispute between the builder and the residents.

Based on the CBRI report, the District Magistrate, in view of the imminent danger to life and property of the residents living in Towers A, B, and C, has ordered the immediate evacuation of the concerned residents under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Defence Code, along with Section 34 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, the order said.
