The Gurugram Police foiled a kidnapping attempt on Wednesday and arrested two accused on the spot after they assaulted and abducted a person to recover Rs 6.5 lakh, which they claimed he had stolen. The entire incident was filmed by a passerby, which went viral on social media. So far, the police have recovered the car, which was used for kidnapping, and the wooden stick from the possession of the two men.

Gurugram Kidnapping Attempt
- The incident took place around 5:15 pm near the Suzuki plant on SPR Road when the delivery boy and his co-worker were returning after deliveries in a Maruti Suzuki Eeco van.
- Two cars intercepted the van in the middle of the road, and several men came out of the car who dragged the delivery boy out, beat him, and forced him into a vehicle.
- However, before the accused could flee, an emergency response vehicle (ERV) team reached the spot, alerted by a passerby.

- An FIR was registered against the accused at the Kherki Daula police station.
- The accused were later identified as Jaiveer (26) of Barwas village and Aman (21) of Garanpura village in Bhiwani district.
- During the course of the investigation, it was revealed that the victim was a friend of Jaiveer. However, the friendship turned to animosity after the kidnapped man stole Rs 6.5 lakh, which Jaiveer had earned after selling his truck in 2024.

- The police official said that the accused had intended to extort money from the victim. But their plan failed due to the timely intervention of the police.
- Both Jaiveer and Aman have been produced before a local court, and further legal proceedings are underway.
- According to the local police, both Jaiveer and Aman work as sales executives at a private company in Gurugram.
