Haryana News: A video of six-year-old Vidhi, one of the victims of the alleged psycho killer, Poonam, in Panipat, Haryana, has surfaced on social media. In the video, Vidhi is seen dressed as a mother goddess (Devi) at Mata Jagran (vigil).

According to a report by Jagran.com, the accused, Poonam, had reportedly intended to kill Vidhi a month prior to the fatal attack.

Haryana: Video Shows Vidhi Dressed As Goddess

The alleged killer, Poonam, was present at the Jagran where six-year-old Vidhi was dressed as the mother goddess (Mata) for the event. During the Jagran, family members were touching Vidhi's feet and seeking her blessings.

Poonam also attended the Jagran, but instead of joining the devotees, she reportedly remained seated in the area where Vidhi was preparing. While Poonam intended to kill the six-year-old child, the presence of Vidhi's grandmother and other family members in the room at that time prevented her from carrying out the crime, the report added.

According to police, Poonam later lured the six-year-old girl into filling a tub with water and then drowned her. During interrogation, she reportedly confessed to murdering not only Vidhi but three other children, all of whom were similarly drowned in plastic tubs.

An investigation is underway, with the Baroda Police Station requesting a full report from Panipat to thoroughly examine Poonam's confession. The Baroda Police have filed an application for a production warrant to take Poonam into custody for detailed interrogation.

Once the warrant is secured, police will take Poonam to Bhavad village, the site where she is accused of murdering her son, Shubham, and niece, Ishika. The police and an FSL team have already conducted a thorough examination of the tank in which the bodies of those two children were found drowned.
