Amid alliance talks with the Congress for the forthcoming Assembly Polls in Haryana, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) state unit chief Sushil Gupta said the talks were ongoing and everyone will accept the decision of high command in this regard. Gupta’s statement came a day after Congress leader and LoP Rahul Gandhi expressed his interest in fighting the Haryana polls under the INDIA bloc.
"Today we have a roadshow and public meeting in Haryana. Manish Sisodia is going today. Our programs are going on in all 90 assembly seats, we are contesting elections in Haryana with full strength. Talks are going on for an alliance. Aam Aadmi Party is a disciplined party, we follow the orders of our high command. Right now the order of the High Command is that we should fight on all 90 seats and uproot the BJP government," Sushil Gupta said while talking with news agency ANI.

Earlier, senior AAP leader Sanjay Singh welcomed Rahul Gandhi’s idea to fight the Haryana Assembly election in coalition. “We welcome it. Our priority is to defeat the BJP... Our Haryana in-charge Sandeep Pathak and Sushil Gupta will discuss it and take a final decision and inform Arvind Kejriwal about it and a decision will be taken accordingly,” Singh had said.
Notably, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has also expressed his desire to fight the assembly election in Haryana. The former UP CM is reportedly eyeing Yadav and Muslim-dominating seats in the state. He has also discussed this issue with Congress leader KC Venugopal.
Contrary to this, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, former CM and Congress’ prominent face in Haryana is reluctant to forge an alliance and is of the view that the grand old party should contest all the 90 seats of the state on its own.
The elections in Haryana will be held in a single phase on October 5, and the counting of votes will happen on October 8
