Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Meena announced that, following the Haryana government's decision, the authority to approve applications for financial aid from the Chief Minister Relief Fund (CMRF) has been transferred to a district-level committee chaired by the Deputy Commissioner in Rewari. This change aims to ensure that poor patients receive financial assistance within 30 days.
Addressing a review meeting at the Mini Secretariat auditorium on Wednesday, DC Meena emphasised the government's amendment to the CMRF scheme, expanding support from three diseases to approximately 25. Priority financial aid will be provided to those not covered under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, ensuring timely access to healthcare services.
Officials were directed to assist applicants in uploading their applications on the portal to prevent delays. Special attention should be given to verifying documents, especially in cases where discrepancies exist between the Family Identity Card and Aadhaar details. The Health Department must ensure proper document verification for eligible women.
The verification of a patient’s income will be the responsibility of the Tehsildar, while the concerned Chief Medical Officer (CMO) will verify medical bills. Once verified, applications will be forwarded to the Deputy Commissioner via the portal.
The district committee will review and approve applications before sending them to the headquarters for final payment. The relief amount will then be transferred directly to the beneficiary’s account.
Applicants must apply via the Saral portal, attaching treatment-related expenses and ambulance bills. The CMO must verify and forward bills to the district committee within 10 days, while the Tehsildar must submit income verification reports within four days.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed the Civil Surgeon, Tehsildars, and the DIO to ensure strict adherence to the scheme’s guidelines, completing all required processes within the designated timeframe.
