Haryana DA Hike: In a festive boost for government employees and pensioners in Haryana, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has approved an increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR).

The state government has raised the DA and DR rates from 55 per cent to 58 per cent, effective from July 1, 2025. The arrears for the period from July to September 2025 will be disbursed in November 2025.

According to a letter issued by Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, who also holds the additional charge of the Finance Department, the revised rates will be reflected in the salaries and pensions for October 2025.

This decision is set to benefit thousands of government employees, pensioners, and family pensioners across the state, providing financial relief ahead of the Diwali festivities.

Haryana Air Pollution

Pollution, which began rising in Haryana before the festivals, has now taken a serious turn. Reports from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) from October 19 to 22, 2025, make it clear that the state's air is continuously becoming more toxic. This time, stubble-burning incidents have decreased, but pollution has risen contrary to expectations
