Haryana Assembly Election: The most-awaited voting for the Haryana Assembly election ended at 6 p.m. on Saturday, with the state recording over 64 per cent of voting. Meanwhile, the exit polls are predicting a clean sweep for Congress in the state. Several of them are predicting the Grand Old Party will win more than 50 of the 90 seats in the assembly.

According to the Republic TV-Matrize poll, the Congress Party may get 55-62 seats out of 90, while the BJP is poised to win 18-24 seats. People Pulse poll survey said that the Congress may get 44-54 seats, the BJP 15-29, and others may win up to 4-9 seats. Dainik Bhaskar, in its poll survey, suggested that the Congress will get 44-54 seats, the BJP 15-29, and others may get 4-9.

Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda thanked all the voters and claimed that the Congress government will be formed on October 8. He also vowed to take the state forward on the path of progress.

"Thanks to all the voters for exercising the right to vote given by Baba Saheb's Constitution to end 10 years of misrule in Haryana. I will always be grateful for the immense support, respect and blessings you gave me during the election campaign. The Congress government to be formed on October 8 will take the state forward on the path of progress with the blessings and trust of all Hariya residents," said Bhupinder Hooda in a post on X.

Asked that Kumari Selja and Randeep Singh Surjewala are also aspirants for the CM's posts, Hooda said politics is such that one can have aspirations, "but there is a procedure that legislators will give their opinion and high command will decide".

Chief Minister Nayab Saini said that the BJP will form the government in the state with a full majority.

"BJP will form the government with full majority. We are confident," Saini said, as quoted by news agency ANI.

Famous wrestler and new entrant to Congress Party Vinesh Phogat reacted to the exit poll prediction and said that it is a joyous day and that they endured a lot over the past decade.

"This is a joyous day for the people of Haryana. They endured a lot over the past decade, and today’s result reflects that. The people have responded to ten years of suffering and oppression," Phogat said to NDTV as quoted by moneycontrol. 

Reacting to the exit figures, Sachin Pilot said that the public is 'inclined' toward transformation. He also criticised Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), while speaking about farmers.

"...As far as Congress is concerned, I am hopeful. The people are liking our campaigns, manifesto and guarantees...We are clear about our 7 guarantees and what we are providing to the people. We abide by our words...In the last 10 years, the public has seen the performance of BJP. Now, everyone is inclined towards transformation...We are getting positive feedback, so I am hopeful that we will form the government (in Haryana)." Pilot said.

D Raja said that the exit poll reflected the mood of people in Haryana. He also lashed out at the BJP and said that farmers are angry with the party with the policies of the party, and on the other hand, the way the wrestlers were treated was an insult.
