Haryana Shocker: A tragic accident took place in Panchkula, Haryana, where seven members of a family allegedly ended their lives by consuming poison, reportedly due to financial debt. The incident occurred around 11 PM on Monday in Sector-27.
Authorities found the bodies inside a car bearing a Dehradun registration number (Uttarakhand). The deceased include a husband, wife, their three children, and two elderly family members. Police rushed them to the hospital, where six were declared dead on arrival. The seventh member, initially in critical condition, also passed away shortly after.
According to police officials, two of the deceased have been identified as Praveen Mittal and his father, Deshraj Mittal. Preliminary investigations suggest that the family may have taken this step due to increasing financial debt. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
Upon receiving information about the incident, DCP Himadri Kaushik promptly reached the scene, followed by DCP (Law and Order) Amit Dahiya, who also visited the location. Initial findings suggest it to be a case of suicide, though police have launched a full investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances.

Speaking on the matter, DCP Panchkula said that they have received information that six people have been brought to Ojas Hospital. " When we reached here, we found out that they are all dead. Another person was brought to the Civil Hospital, Sector 6; he has also been declared dead. Prima facie, it looks like a matter of suicide. All the investigating officers are at the spot...All of the deceased are family members..," she said.

It has been revealed that Praveen Mittal, one of the deceased, operated a tour and travel business in Dehradun. Reportedly, he suffered significant financial losses, which may have led him to take this tragic step along with his family.
However, several questions remain unanswered. Notably, why did the family travel to Panchkula, and why did they choose this location to end their lives? Additionally, it is unclear what they were doing near the house where the car was found parked. These aspects are currently under investigation and will be clarified in due course.
