HD Revanna Arrest:  JDS leader HD Revanna, arrested by the Karnataka Police SIT in an alleged kidnapping of one of his son Prajwal Revanna's sex abuse victims, said on Sunday that a "political conspiracy" was being played against him. Revanna's remarks came as he was being taken for a medical examination during the day. The SIT had earlier presented Revanna in front of a people's representative's court which has declined an interim bail to him.

The senior JD(S) leader HD Revanna was brought to Bowring & Lady Curzon Hospital for a medical examination. In his brief interaction with the reporters, he said: "It's a political conspiracy going on against me. In my 40 years of political life, I have never seen anything like this."

Earlier today, a blue-corner notice was issued to locate sitting Hassan MP and grandson of former prime minister HD Deve Gowda, Prajwal Revanna. Meanwhile, Karnataka Minister Parameshwara said that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been given full autonomy by the state government to investigate the case.

Kidnapping case against JDS leader

Senior Revanna's arrest came after an MP/MLA court denied interim bail to him in a recent abduction case. A woman, who was among the many women featured in the alleged sex tapes of Prajwal, was allegedly abducted by an associate of HD Revanna who goes by the name of Satish Babu or Satish Babanna. Filing an abduction complaint, her son has alleged that she was forcefully taken by Babanna from their house and the family was not able to contact her.

Woman traced, associate sent to judicial custody

Police said on Saturday that they have located the woman in Hunsur, and they are currently gathering information from her. Satish Babu has been remanded to 14 days of judicial custody by the magistrate, reported the Indian Express.
