Himachal: In Himachal Pradesh's Una district, a 24-year-old bride-to-be, Anshika Thakur, was found brutally murdered just hours before her wedding. Her partially burned body was discovered on Tuesday in the village of Bairian, approximately 500 meters from her home. The crime occurred within the jurisdiction of the Jol police station.
Anshika, the daughter of the late Vipin Thakur, was scheduled to marry a man from Bhindla village on Wednesday, September 24. Her wedding day turned into a day of mourning when a forest guard made the grim discovery of her body along the Bairiyan-Ramnagar road. The guard immediately notified the Jol police, who arrived to secure the scene and begin their investigation.
According to police, Anshika’s body showed not only signs of being set on fire but also deep wounds to her face and neck, suggesting a violent attack. The nature of the crime has led to troubling questions about who may have lured her out of her home late at night and committed this heinous act.
