Punjab police have filed a Zero FIR after a couple complained against the woman’s husband and aids. A man with his aids physically assaulted his wife’s lover after catching them in a hotel room in Gagaret, Himachal Pradesh, on March 29. The woman, a resident of Adampur in Punjab’s Jalandhar, had eloped to Gagret on March 28 with her lover.
Punjab police has forwarded the case to Gagret police station after filing a zero FIR. According to the complaint filed by the victim, Vijay Kumar, who is also a resident of Adampur, came across Renu. The acquaintance gradually turned into a love affair. Additionally, both individuals are married to other people and claim to be in love with each other.
The dua came to Gagret on 28 March and started staying in a hotel. On 29 March, the woman's husband brought 12 people in two vehicles and forcibly took them with him in the car. The woman was taken in a different car, Vijay Kumar revealed in his complaint.
Husband Paraded Wife’s Lover In Market
It is alleged that the woman's husband started beating Vijay as soon as they entered Punjab. Renu's husband Gurpal Singh attacked Vijay on the head with a sharp weapon. The attackers reportedly stole valuable items, including jewelry, two mobile phones, ₹1 lakh in cash, and important documents. The victim was then taken to Adampur, where he was subjected to further physical and emotional abuse. His clothes were removed, his hair and eyebrows were shaved off with a razor, and his face was smeared with soot. In a display of public humiliation, Vijay was then paraded in the market.

The Victim Was Left Unconscious Near Govt Hospital
The victim, left unconscious, was abandoned near a government hospital in Adampur. After regaining consciousness, he filed a complaint with the Adampur police station on April 3, prompting the registration of a zero FIR. According to Renu Police Superintendent Rakesh Singh, the police received the zero FIR mail from Jalandhar and are now coordinating with Punjab Police to apprehend the accused.
