In a deeply disturbing case from Theog in Himachal Pradesh’s Shimla district, the principal of a private school has been accused of sexually assaulting a female employee and capturing her nude photographs without consent. The woman, who began working at the Mahori village-based school on September 12, 2024, lodged a formal complaint that led police to register a case under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including Sections 64, 74, 79, 332(C), 115(2), 351(2), 126(2), and 3(5).

In her complaint, the victim alleged that the principal repeatedly forced her into sexual acts. She recounted a particularly traumatic incident when the accused forcefully entered her room, sexually assaulted her, and took explicit photos. The woman further revealed that these coercive encounters occurred at different locations over a period of time.

Things escalated in March 2025 when she resisted his advances prompting the principal to allegedly assault her with a belt. Following this, he would reportedly stop her on the road and harass her regularly. The situation worsened on May 24 when the principal allegedly broke into her room forcibly, the complaint said.

Authorities have now taken cognizance of the allegations, and a thorough investigation is underway.

In Solan’s Arki area, a 53-year-old teacher was arrested on charges of molesting minor girls. Meanwhile, in Sirmaur’s Rajgarh, a mathematics teacher faced accusations of harassing 24 students. In another case from the same district, six students alleged sexual harassment by a Hindi teacher.
