Holi Special Trains 2026: In a bid to manage heavy passenger rush during Holi, the Indian Railways has announced five pairs of special trains between Prayagraj and Delhi. Five pairs of trains will operate from March 5 to March 10, completing a total of 10 trips or five round-trips between the two cities.
Speaking to Jagran.com, officials said the move is aimed at providing much-needed relief to passengers facing long waiting lists after Holi.
Holi Special Trains: Check Details
Here are the complete details of the five pairs of special trains between Prayagraj and Delhi.
1. 04141/04142: The special train will depart from Prayagraj on Thursday, March 5 and return from Delhi on Friday, March 6. It will consist of a total of 22 coaches, including AC First, Second, Third, and Economy Class.

2. 04143/04144: This train will leave Prayagraj on Friday, March 6, returning from Delhi on Saturday, March 7. It will have a total of 24 coaches, including nine sleeper and eight general class coaches.
3. 04145/04146: It will depart from Prayagraj on Saturday, March 7 and return from Delhi on Sunday, March 8.
4. 04149/04150: This train will depart Prayagraj on Sunday, March 8, returning from Delhi on Monday, March 9. It will also include a chair car service.
5. 04147/04148: This train will depart Prayagraj on Monday, March 9, and return from Delhi on Tuesday, March 10. It will consist of sleeper and general coaches.
Check Timings And Stoppages
- Train numbers 04141, 04143, 04145 and 04147 will leave Prayagraj at 9:30 PM, reaching Delhi at 9 AM. During the journey, the train will stop at Fatehpur at 10:45 PM, Govindpuri at 12:15 AM, Etawah at 2 AM, Tundla at 3:33 AM, Aligarh at 4:45 AM, Dadri at 6:20 AM and Ghaziabad at 8:05 AM.
- On the return journey, these trains, 04142, 04144, 04146, 04148, will depart from Delhi at 10:15 AM. During the journey, the trains will stop at Ghaziabad at 10:43 AM, Dadri at 11:20 AM, Aligarh at 12:45 PM, Tundla at 2:10 PM, Etawah at 3:25 PM, Govindpuri at 5:35 PM, and Fatehpur at 7:03 PM, reaching Prayagraj Junction at 11:45 PM.
- Train number 04149 will depart Prayagraj slightly earlier, at 8:00 PM, and reach Delhi at 9:00 AM the next day. During the journey, the train will stop at Fatehpur at 8:20 PM and Govindpuri at 8:05 PM. The return timings will remain the same as other trains.
