Delhi Double Murder Case: The murder of a 42-year-old woman and her son by the house helper in Delhi's Lajpat Nagar has shaken the national capital. The Delhi police on Thursday arrested the accused Mukesh Paswan from Uttar Pradesh's Deen Dayal Upadhyay railway station while he was trying to flee to his hometown in Bihar. While providing details, the officials on Friday stated that the 24-year-old accused has confessed to the crime, claiming Ruchika Sewani, the deceased woman, had insulted him earlier in the day. The police also revealed that the accused had taken Rs 40,000 and a mobile phone in advance, adding that an argument broke out after the deceased had asked him either to return the money or get back to the work, reported the Hindustan Times.

Here Is The Timeline Of Events In The Double-Murder Case:

Mukesh entered the house at around 7.30 PM on Wednesday, while Kuldeep Sewani, the deceased's husband, was not present at the home.

Paswan killed Ruchika in her bedroom after a major confrontation; however, Krish, the deceased's son, witnessed the murder.

The accused killed Krish around 8 PM in the bathroom where the deceased was trying to hide after her mother's murder.

Kuldeep Sewani informed police at around 9.30 PM when Ruchi did not open the door and he witnessed blood all over the stairs.

Police arrived at the site around 10 PM and recovered the bodies after breaking the door. The police stated that the woman was absolutely fine at 7.15 pm, as she had spoken to Kuldeep on a phone call.

The police arrested Mukesh Paswan on Thursday at Deen Dayal Upadhyay railway station while he was trying to flee to his hometown.

The accused confessed to the crime on the same day, adding that the woman had insulted him on the same day as the incident.
