To accommodate the festive rush during Diwali, the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) has decided to operate special additional bus services on key routes. This information was provided by Divisional Manager Rajkumar Pathak.

He stated that in view of the increasing number of passengers during Diwali, the corporation has arranged to run special buses from October 17 to October 27, 2025, to ensure people can reach their destinations on time and with convenience.

Special Buses From Chandigarh To Hamirpur

October 17, 2025: Four special buses will run from Chandigarh to Hamirpur. The departure times are:

  • 2:55 PM (Bus No. 401721)
  • 3:30 PM (Bus No. 401722)
  • 4:00 PM (Bus No. 401723)
  • 5:15 PM (Bus No. 401724)

October 18, 2025: Two special buses will depart from Chandigarh for Jahu in the evening.

  • 3:30 PM (Bus No. 401735)
  • 4:25 PM (Bus No. 401736)

Buses From Delhi To Hamirpur And Jawalamukhi

October 18, 2025: Several buses are scheduled from various locations:

Delhi to Sujanpur (via Hamirpur): 8:46 PM (Bus No. 401693)

Delhi to Hamirpur: 9:30 PM (Bus No. 401694) and 9:30 PM (Bus No. 401719)

Delhi to Jawalamukhi: 9:08 PM (Bus No. 401697)

Delhi to Jahu: 8:35 PM (Bus No. 401698)

Ludhiana to Hamirpur: 8:00 PM (Bus No. 401931)

Delhi to Hamirpur (via Dhaneta): A special bus will depart at 9:11 PM (Bus No. 401935)

Anticipating the highest passenger traffic on October 26, HRTC has scheduled a large number of additional services:

Jahu to Chandigarh: Seven buses will operate at:

  • 9:40 AM (Bus No. 401712)
  • 10:30 AM (Bus No. 401713)
  • 1:30 PM (Bus No. 401716)
  • 2:55 PM (Bus No. 401718)
  • 4:30 PM (Bus No. 401719)
  • 6:15 PM (Bus No. 401720)

Hamirpur to Delhi: 6:15 PM (Bus No. 401728)

Kangra to Delhi: 6:40 PM (Bus No. 401725)

Sarkaghat to Delhi: 7:40 PM (Bus No. 401727)

Return Journey Buses On October 27

For the return leg of the journey on October 27, the following services will be available:

Hamirpur to Chandigarh:

  • 5:00 AM (Bus No. 401701)
  • 5:40 AM (Bus No. 401702)
  • 6:15 AM (Bus No. 401703)

Jahu to Chandigarh:

  • 4:40 AM (Bus No. 401705)

Instructions For Timely Operation

DM Rajkumar Pathak mentioned that all depot managers have been instructed to ensure the timely operation of these special services. He said that this special arrangement will provide significant relief to passengers during the Diwali festival, ensuring no one faces difficulties with tickets or seating. The corporation has appealed to passengers to take advantage of these services by making advance bookings.
