The government on Saturday announced seven all-party delegations to project India's zero-tolerance approach to terrorism in partner countries, including members of the UN Security Council later this month. In its advisory, the government stated that the delegation's role will be to spread India's message on some key issues, including terrorism, and to present that India is united in the fight against terrorism. The advisory further stated that each delegation will have five members, adding that the delegation is likely to leave on May 23 and 24.
The government advisory stated that MPs from different parties, prominent political personalities, and distinguished diplomats will be part of each delegation.

While reacting to the announcement by the central government, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor said that he is always ready to represent the country when national interest is involved. "I am honoured by the invitation of the government of India to lead an all-party delegation to five key capitals, to present our nation's point of view on recent events. When national interest is involved, and my services are required, I will not be found wanting. Jai Hind!" Tharoor posted on X.
NCP (Sharad) MP Supriya Sule stated that all the parties are united when it is a question of the country. "Yesterday, I got a call from Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, who asked me to be a part of one of these committees. It is very clear that when it is a question of our nation, we are all together, and we go to other countries to put forth our country's view," Sule was quoted as saying by ANI.
The MPs are expected to visit several countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, South Africa, and Japan. This will be the first time that the Centre will depute MPs from multiple parties to present India's stance on Kashmir and cross-border terrorism originating from Pakistan.
India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7 in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack in which 26 people were killed. India's precision strikes in Pakistan and PoJK on May 7 killed over 100 terrorists.
