India-US Relations: As India appeared closer to China and Russia at the SCO summit, the United States sent out tweets on Monday in an attempt at ‘damage control’. In a post on the official X (formerly Twitter) handle of the US Embassy in India, the United States on Monday said that its partnership with New Delhi “continues to reach new heights”.
The post cited Secretary of State, Marco Rubio to call the current ties between India and the United States a “defining relationship”. The post read, “The partnership between the United States and India continues to reach new heights-a defining relationship of the 21st century. This month, we’re spotlighting the people, progress, and possibilities driving us forward. From innovation and entrepreneurship to defense and bilateral ties, it’s the enduring friendship between our two peoples that fuels this journey.”

Indo-China Relations At The SCO
India and China seem to have moved past the diplomatic tensions post the Galwan Valley standoff. Powerful visuals of Russian President Vladimir Putin, PM Modi, and China’s President Xi Jinping have taken over social media which show them shaking hands, exchanging hugs, and having candid conversations.
PM Modi shared pictures of himself with Putin and Xi on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, writing, "Interactions in Tianjin continue! Exchanging perspectives with President Putin and President Xi during the SCO Summit.” As India’s inclination towards China and Russia increases, Washington has hinted at opening up diplomatic channels.
