The Northern Command of the Indian Army on Wednesday shared a video highlighting the significant moments from Operation Sindoor. In a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the army stated that "precise strikes" were carried out against the terrorist sites. The video further emphasised that peace has been restored in Jammu and Kashmir, adding that the operation will continue until the terrorism is completely eliminated from the region. The video also stressed that no third country had a role in the ceasefire deal between India and Pakistan.
The video began by showing how the terrorist attack in Pahalgam disturbed the peace in the region. It further showcased that Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting with the security forces chief, and a decision was taken to act strongly against the conspirators.

"Northern Command ‘s resolute operations in #OperationSindoor were an exemplar of restraint turning into decisive response. Precision strikes on terror launchpads and the elimination of perpetrators of the Pahalgam massacre underscore our unwavering pursuit of peace in the region,” the Army stated in its post.
Earlier on August 9, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi stated that the army was given a free hand, adding that the political clarity raised the morale of the armed forces. His remarks came after Chief Air Marshal Amar Preet Singh confirmed that the Indian forces shot down at least five Pakistani fighter jets and one large aircraft during the operation.

"What happened on 22 April in Pahalgam shocked the nation. On the 23rd, the next day itself, we all sat down. This is the first time that RM (Defence Minister Rajnath Singh) said, "Enough is enough". All three chiefs were very clear that something had to be done. The free hand was given, 'you decide what is to be done,'" Gen Dwivedi stated.
