The directive makes it clear that blogging, videography, photography, or any type of recording for internet platforms is strictly prohibited across all railway premises, including stations, workshops, control rooms, offices, trains, yards, and restricted areas.

According to the administration, some employees were filming train operations, maintenance processes, security arrangements, and sensitive locations while on duty and sharing them online. This, the order notes, was harming the professional image of the Railways and compromising security protocols.

Strict Rules On Mobile Phone Usage

The order further states that personal mobile phones may be used only for essential communication and strictly during designated breaks. Using mobile phones to shoot, edit, or share content on any platform while on duty is completely banned.

Creating social media content using official railway equipment, computers, internet access, or any departmental resources has also been classified as a serious offense.

Instructions To Supervising Officials
Controlling officers, supervisors, and departmental heads have been directed to ensure full compliance and to regularly monitor employees. They must also make staff aware of the rules without exception.

Strict Disciplinary Action For Violations

The Railways has warned that any violation will invite strict disciplinary action under railway rules, including suspension, charge sheets, salary deductions, adverse entries in service records, or other severe penalties.
