Jagran Correspondent | Bareilly: Indigo has reduced fares for flights travelling from Bareilly to Delhi and Noida by at least Rs 1000. The reduction comes weeks before the airline is set to launch its operations in early July. The Indian airline has reduced ticket prices to boost early bookings.
The airline dropped the fares to accelerate the bookings. However, prices are expected to rise as the seat availability shrinks.
Flight Operations To Start From July 1
The flight operations from Bareilly Airport to Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport will start from July 1. The flights will operate three days a week, i.e., Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Flights from Delhi will depart at 13:35 pm and reach Bareilly Airport at 14:36 pm. On the other hand, the return flights will depart from Bareilly at 15:00 pm and reach Delhi at 16:05 pm. On the other hand, Flights from Bareilly to Jewar International Airport in Noida will start on July 2.
The flight from Noida will depart at 10:30 am and arrive in Bareilly at 11:20 am, and the flight from Bareilly will depart at 12:05 pm and arrive at 1:00 pm. The fare was fixed at Rs 4,500 on the day the schedule was released with the announcement of the start of the flight.
Are Seats Getting Booked Faster?
Indigo has reduced the fare from Delhi and Noida to Bareilly by about Rs 1000, bringing it to Rs 3591. However, the fare from Bareilly to Delhi has not come down much. The fare from here is still kept at Rs 4265. It is estimated that passengers travelling from Bareilly to Delhi have booked faster; return tickets were booked less comparatively. However, as seats start getting booked, the fare will start increasing.
Bareilly Airport Director Awadhesh Agarwal said that preparations are underway to start flights to Delhi from July 1 and Noida from July 2. The airline keeps increasing and decreasing the fare based on the booking of seats. People will be informed about the start of flights to Delhi and Noida.
