IndiGo Flight Disruptions: In response to the evolving security situation along the India-Pakistan border, several airlines, including IndiGo, have announced widespread flight cancellations across key cities in northern and north-western India.
Flights to and from Jammu, Srinagar, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Leh, and Rajkot have been cancelled for 13 May 2025, as passenger safety remains the top priority. The cancellations come amid renewed tensions in the region and precautionary measures being taken in coordination with authorities.

IndiGo, one of India’s leading carriers, had earlier announced the suspension of flights to and from Srinagar, Jammu, Amritsar, Leh, Chandigarh, Dharamshala, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Kishangarh, and Rajkot until midnight on 10 May 2025, citing operational and safety concerns.
Passengers have been advised to check their flight status through the airline’s official website or app before heading to the airport. Customer support teams remain on standby to assist with rebooking, cancellations, or any other travel-related queries.

These developments follow a weekend ceasefire announcement between India and Pakistan. Subsequently, the Indian government lifted the Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) that had restricted civilian flights at several northern airports until 15 May 2025. However, despite this easing of airspace restrictions, flight operations remain suspended in specific zones due to heightened security alerts.
The decision to maintain flight cancellations was influenced by cross-border firing incidents reported across the Line of Control (LoC) in the Uri, Kupwara, Tangdhar, and Karnah sectors of Jammu and Kashmir, allegedly initiated by the Pakistan Army, in breach of the newly agreed ceasefire.
Airlines continue to monitor the situation closely and will issue updates as necessary. Travellers are encouraged to stay informed through official communication channels.
