IndiGo denied a survey report on Wednesday, that ranked it among the worst airlines in terms of punctuality and other criteria, citing it has always 'scored high' on punctuality. AirHelp, an EU claim processing company, conducted the study. It evaluated the largest and most well-known airlines in the world based on their punctuality, level of service, and handling of compensation claims.
IndiGo said in a statement that the survey's data "casts a doubt on its credibility" since it fails to provide the sample size from India and does not account for the methodology or remuneration rules followed by the global aviation industry.
The airline claims to have the lowest customer complaint ratio for an airline of its size and scope of operations, and it has continuously received top marks for punctuality.
“As India’s most preferred airline, IndiGo refutes the findings of this survey and reiterates its promise of on-time, affordable, courteous and hassle-free travel experience for its customers," it added.
According to AirHelp survey results posted on its website, IndiGo is placed 103rd out of 109 airlines with a total score of 4.80.
