In response to rising passenger demand, the Railway Board has implemented a major change for the Indore-Nagpur-Indore Vande Bharat Express. Currently operating with 8 coaches, this high-tech train will run on the tracks with an expanded rake of 16 coaches starting from November 24.

With the number of coaches doubling, the seating capacity will increase from 600 to approximately 1,200. This will provide 600 additional passengers daily with the opportunity for comfortable and fast travel, offering significant relief during festivals and peak rush periods.

Busiest Route: Demand Continues To Rise

The Indore-Bhopal-Nagpur rail route is one of the busiest and most strategic routes in Central India. Due to the heavy movement of students, working professionals, businessmen, and travelers, seats on the Vande Bharat were often fully booked, and the waiting list was constantly growing.

Indore and Bhopal serve as educational and trade centers, while Nagpur is a major industrial and logistics hub. Consequently, the permanent expansion to 16 coaches is considered a significant step toward meeting the needs of passengers.
