Hyderabad: Hyderabad's renowned Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, commonly known as Uppal cricket stadium, is et to witnesss high security arrangements during the forthcoming IPL T20 matches. Rachakonda Police Commissioner Tarun Joshi has announced extensive measures to ensure a safe and secure environment for the match scheduled on April 5.

A total of 2,800 police personnel from various units of the Telangana police, including TSSP, Octopus, and mounted police, will be deployed. Additionally, 360 surveillance cameras will be strategically utilised, with anti-sabotage checks to enhance safety protocols throughout the matches.

She Teams To Safeguard Female Attendees

In order to safeguard the well-being of female attendees, She Teams will be present at the stadium to prevent instances of stalking and harassment. Furthermore, ambulances and fire tenders will remain on standby, ensuring immediate response to any emergencies. Armed police personnel will be positioned strategically in and around the venue to uphold a security presence.

Prohibited Items

A comprehensive list of prohibited items not allowed within the stadium during matches has been released. Laptops, water bottles, banners, lighters, cigarettes, and binoculars are among the items disallowed by the authorities.

Entry Timings

Regarding entry timings, the gates of the stadium will open three hours prior to the commencement of day matches and at 4:30 pm for night matches. Additionally, audience will be subjected to specific restrictions on the items they can bring into the stadium during the matches.
