Delhi Water Issue: Delhi Minister Parvesh Verma on Thursday visited the Wazirabad Water Treatment Plant as the national capital braced for scorching weather. Every year, during the summer, the city faces water shortage issues and some pockets of the city also complain of receiving polluted water.
In view of these complaints, the PWD minister marked the visit. After observing the water treatment process at the plant, Verma said, "I came here to see what kind of water the people of Delhi are drinking and how our plants are working? I drank the water and saw that it was completely clean. It is our priority that the people of Delhi get clean water."

A lot of fruitful discussions have taken place. There are 34 slums here where there is a water problem. In the next 6-8 months, 9,000 new water connections will be installed, which will benefit 4,700 people."
