The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) PSLV C62 Mission carrying the Earth Observation Satellite (EOS-N1), codenamed Anvesha, faced an anomaly midway during Stage 3 separation after liftoff, which resulted in a deviation from the intended path. The Indian space agency is currently analysing the flight data to determine the exact cause behind the anomaly.
The PSLV-C62 mission encountered an anomaly during end of the PS3 stage. A detailed analysis has been initiated.

The ISRO Chairman, Dr V Narayanan, has issued a formal statement stating that the PSLV C62 mission failed. "We attempted the PSLV-C62 EOS-N1 mission. The PSLV is a four-stage vehicle - the first stage is a solid motor with two strap-ons, the second stage is liquid, the third stage is solid, and the fourth stage is liquid. The performance of the vehicle close to the third stage was as expected and as predicted," the ISRO Chairman said.

He further said that towards the end of the third stage, the Indian space agency observed some anomaly in the launch vehicle, which was steering it away from the intended path. As a result, the mission could not proceed as expected.

ISRO PSLV C62 Mission
ISRO launched the 64th mission of the PSLV from Andhra Pradesh's Sriharikota on Monday. The rocket carried the EOS-N1 or the Anvesha satellite, along with 15 co-passenger satellites, into orbit.
The ISRO began the countdown for the mission on Sunday as India's most reliable and successful launch vehicle is set for its 64th flight. The authority stated that the scientists will restart the fourth stage of the rocket two hours after launch. The mission is being carried out by NewSpace India Limited and is set to show India’s rise in the global small-satellite launch market.

ISRO PSLV C62 Mission: EOS-N1 Satellite
- The Earth Observation Satellite- N1 (EOS-N1) is an observation satellite built jointly by Thailand and the United Kingdom primarily for the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).
- The satellite will be deployed in a lower Earth orbit and will provide DRDO with clear pictures of different terrains through the use of Hyperspectral imaging.
- The main job of the satellite is to help the DRDO keep a close watch on the borders, studying terrain and spotting hidden or camouflaged military equipment.
- Besides military use, the satellite will also be used for civilian purposes such as checking crop health, planning cities and monitoring environmental changes.
