Lucknow Schools Bomb Threat: Hours after four to five schools in Jaipur received bomb threat emails on Monday, several schools in Lucknow's Gomti Nagar also received similar threat emails, triggering panic among the school authorities and children. All the schoolchildren were brought out from the classes to the playfields and their parents were sent messages to take them back home. The schools received an email threatening to blow up the schools. After receiving information, police teams and bomb disposal squad reached the schools and started investigations.

The schools that received the threat mail included Vibgyor High School, LPS PGI branch and St. Mary's School. The police spokesman said that no incriminating object was found in the schools and the cyber cell was now investigating the origin of these emails.

This came after at least five schools in Rajasthan's capital, Jaipur, received bomb threat emails triggering panic among the administration and students. Police teams along with bomb and dog squads have been rushed to these schools and a search operation is underway. According to the police, all students and school staff have been evacuated safely. The threat was given by email and a team is trying to identify the sender, police said.

"Threatening emails have been sent to some schools in the city, including Maheshwari School (MPS International School). Currently, the bomb disposal squad is carrying out searches in the school. All the students and staff have been evacuated. Further investigation is underway," DCP East Jaipur Kavendra Sagar said, as quoted by ANI.

The fresh incident follows closely on the heels of a similar incident over 10 days ago when over 130 schools across Delhi-NCR received hoax threat emails, triggering mass evacuations and searches as panic-stricken parents rushed to pick up their children. However, the threats were declared hoaxes as "nothing objectionable" was found during searches. The threats have been under investigation by the anti-terror unit of Delhi Police after an initial probe hinted at a deeper conspiracy by a terror group during the Lok Sabha elections. "The matter is related to national security. It needs a deeper probe," an official had said, as quoted by PTI.

The email ID from which the threat was sent is 'sawariim@mail.ru'. Sawarim is an Arabic word extensively used by the terror outfit Islamic State (IS) in their propaganda videos over the past several years. "Kill them wherever you meet and drive them out of the places from which they drove you. There are many explosive devices in the school," the email sent to all schools, read.
