Jaipur News: A tragic accident occurred in Jaipur's Sitapura Industrial Area, where eight workers entered a septic tank in the Jewellery Zone. Four of them lost their lives, while the remaining four were hospitalised. According to officials, the condition of two is critical, and two others have been discharged after receiving first aid.

All four deceased workers hailed from Uttar Pradesh. Police confirmed that three of them- Sanjeev Pal, Himanshu Singh, and Rohit Pal- were residents of Ambedkar Nagar, while the fourth, Arpit Yadav, was from Sultanpur.

The two critically injured workers, Amit Chauhan and Rajpal, are currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital. Amit Pal and Suraj Pal were treated and subsequently discharged.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The tragic incident took place at Achal Jewellers Private Limited, a jewellery manufacturing firm located in Jaipur’s Sitapura Industrial Area. The company, which exports jewellery to international markets, has a 10-foot-deep septic tank on its premises where waste accumulates.

According to reports, eight workers entered the tank to extract traces of gold from the waste. However, they fell unconscious shortly after due to exposure to toxic gases trapped inside the tank. Emergency services were called, and the workers were rushed to a hospital.

Despite efforts to save them, four workers lost their lives, while two remain in critical condition. The other two were discharged after receiving first aid.
