Jammu: Despite unpredictable weather conditions, the pilgrimage to the holy shrine of Maa Vaishno Devi has been proceeding smoothly. On Friday, devotees accompanied by their families continued their spiritual journey after completing the registration process and receiving RFID Yatra cards.

To make the pilgrimage easier, facilities such as horses, mules, palanquins, battery-operated cars, and ropeway car services were readily available. Many pilgrims also opted for the helicopter service for a quicker and more comfortable journey.

While the weather remained clear until noon, it took a sudden turn as thick clouds gathered over the Trikuta Mountains and chilly winds began to blow. Given this shift, light to moderate rainfall may affect pilgrims along the way.

In anticipation of such challenges, volunteers from the Shrine Board known as “Help Friends” have been strategically stationed across all routes leading to the shrine. Their role is to assist devotees and ensure a hassle-free experience throughout the journey.

Currently, a noticeable drop in the number of visitors has left the Bhawan complex, along with the main routes and nearby religious spots, relatively quiet. This has allowed the few pilgrims who are arriving to complete their journey without any major inconveniences.
