A five-year-old child drowned in a water park in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand's East Singhbhum district, on Thursday, according to authorities. According to reports, the incident occurred as the youngster and her parents were swimming in a pool at Galudih Park. A police squad arrived at the scene and transported her to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead, SDPO (Ghatsila) Sunil Chandra informed PTI.

He stated that the water park was closed following the event. Chandra said that an inquiry is now ongoing. A 30-year-old guy died at the same water park while riding a ride three years ago.

In a separate incident, a 25-year-old woman died by suicide after jumping from a high-rise residential building in Pune’s Hinjewadi area. The incident took place on May 31 when she was reportedly visiting a friend. The woman, identified as Abhilasha Bhausaheb Kothimbhire, was an IT professional.

According to the Pimpri Chinchwad police, Abhilasha had arrived at the Crown Green Society in Hinjewadi around 4:30 AM that day. She later fell from her friend’s flat located on the 21st floor of the building. The police reached the spot soon after and began an investigation.

Officers said they recovered a note believed to be written by the deceased, in which she apologised to her family and friends. The note indicated she had taken the step on her own. “I’m done living. I don’t want to live anymore,” the note reportedly said.
