At least 35 children fell sick after consuming chowmein from a stall due to suspected food poisoning in Jharkhand's Latehar district, an official said on Thursday. The incident occurred at Temki village under Sadar police station limits on Wednesday evening during a fair organised on the occasion of a village festival.

The affected children, aged between two and 15 years, were admitted to Sadar Hospital. Child specialist Dr Jaiprakash said they were brought in with complaints of vomiting, abdominal pain and dehydration.

"They were brought to the hospital by ambulance between 9.30 pm and 10 pm. It was a case of food poisoning. The condition of children is stable now," he told PTI. Jaiswal stated that the children would be discharged from the hospital shortly and that the process had already begun.

School Student Fell Sick In Karnataka 

In Karnataka’s Mandya district, 10 students from a residential school in KM Doddi, Maddur taluk, were hospitalised after developing stomach pain and other symptoms on Friday morning. Officials said the students complained of vomiting and abdominal discomfort due to suspected food poisoning and were provided treatment at the hospital.

Earlier, in Raichur district, three members of a family died while two others were admitted to a hospital for treatment following another suspected case of food poisoning, officials said.
