Jharkhand News: To speed up industrial development in Seraikela Kharsawan district in Jharkhand, the administration has approved the construction of elevated ring road and industrial corridor, jagran.com reported.
This corridor will pass through Tikar, Tiramdih, Neemdih, Gamharia, Seraikela, Kharsawan, Rangamatia and Radgaon, while the extended route of the ring road will pass through Aida, Chandil, Ichagarh, Neemdih, Kharsawan, Seraikela and Sitarampur.
Land Crisis And Difficulties For Industries
Adityapur Small Industries Association (ASIA) President Inder Kumar Aggarwal told the Deputy Commissioner during a meeting that almost all the land in the industrial area has been filled. There are no plots for new investors and there is no direct access road to the lands identified by the government. In such a situation, construction of a ring road will solve the problem.
Increased Risk Of Accidents
Almost 3,000 trucks ply daily in Adityapur industrial area. Since there is no separate route for industries, heavy vehicles pass through residential areas, which increases the risk of accidents. With the construction of the ring road, trucks will get an alternative route and the city traffic will be eased.
On behalf of ASIA, a letter will be sent to Minister of Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari regarding this proposal through Jamshedpur MP Vidyut Baran Mahto.
It is expected that after getting the approval of the Centre, the work towards construction of elevated ring road and corridor will be expedited.
According to the ASIA President, the Adityapur area was once considered one of the major industrial clusters of ASIA. Today the MSME sector is a major source of GDP and employment, but lack of land has slowed down the pace of development.
Once the ring road and industrial corridor are constructed, it will be easy to create new clusters and a new era of industries can begin in the district.
