Jharkhand Weather: Jharkhand will likely see intermittent rain and thundershowers across several districts till May 5. A yellow alert has been issued in response to the changing weather conditions. According to the Meteorological Department, rainfall is anticipated at various intervals across the entire state on Thursday.

Similar weather was observed on Tuesday, with rain reported in districts such as Simdega and Purbi Singhbhum.

According to the Meteorological Centre in Ranchi, light rain is expected on May 2 across most districts of Jharkhand, except for Chatra, Latehar, Palamu, and Garhwa.

Similar conditions are forecast for May 3, with rainfall likely in all districts except these four. On May 4 and 5, rain is expected in many areas, excluding Garhwa, Palamu, Chatra, Hazaribagh, Koderma, Giridih, Deoghar, Jamtara, Dumka, Godda, Sahibganj, and Pakur.

In the past 24 hours, Jharkhand experienced a slight dip in temperatures across the state. Daltonganj recorded the highest temperature at 37.4°C, while Gumla registered the lowest at 16.5°C. Maximum temperatures in key cities were as follows: Ranchi at 33.0°C, Jamshedpur at 32.6°C, Bokaro at 33.1°C, and Chaibasa at 34.4°C. Notably, temperatures in all districts have now dropped below 40°C.

The heaviest rainfall was reported in Chakulia, East Singhbhum, while Simdega received 5 mm of rain. Tragically, two animals were killed by lightning in Palkot, Gumla.
